Library
Building Program
The Belvedere-Tiburon
Library, the Town of Tiburon, and the City of Belvedere
have begun planning for an expansion of the existing library.
The goal of the expansion is to create new spaces that will
allow the Library to better fulfill its mission as a learning,
technology, and cultural center. Keep an eye on this page
for the latest news, documents, meeting schedules, and volunteer
information.

Conceptual
Ideas for the Library Expansion
In July, 2008, the Belvedere-Tiburon Library Agency voted its preference to place the expansion on the location of the current parking lot and to construct a new parking lot in the undeveloped land behind the Library (also known as the "Civic Connection" plan). The Library is in the first or conceptual planning phase of the project. An environmental impact report (EIR) will be done by the Town of Tiburon in late 2008 and early 2009. Linked to below are are a conceptual site plan and exterior view. Links will open
in a new browser window. (updated August 2008)
