Storytime à la française
with Le Petit Jardin
for ages 18mos- 4 yrs

Le Petit Jardin offers fun French Immersion to toddlers and young children of Marin County. Along with their San Anselmo-based Nursery School and Mommy & Me programs, LPJ now takes its 'show on the road' with a French Immersion Story Time offered at The Belvedere-Tiburon Library! Bring your kiddies ages 18 months through Pre-K for this fun, interactive Circle time!
Each week children and parents or caregivers will enjoy singing and nursery rhymes as well as well as an illustrated storybook read by LPJ Mommy & Me instructor, Anne! Whether you or your children have been exposed to the French language before or not, this immersive experience will prove that context, gestures and visuals can draw in the mind of a child in any language and can open up a whole new world of learning!! About The Story-teller: Anne De Souza comes to Le Petit Jardin from Saint Malo, France. Anne began working with children at a very young age and had loved it and continued it ever since. After arriving in the US as a young adult she spent time as an au-pair and realized that the French interaction she shared with the children she cared for lead them to quickly understand her language and also to begin using it for themselves! She is now the lead LPJ Mommy & Me instructor.

Share A Book- Read to a Therapy Dog
for Readers
Wednesdays, Feb. 15, Mar. 7, Apr. 11, May 2

The
SHARE a Book program allows children to read to dogs as
a way to improve their literacy skills. The library programs
bring a new and fun way to enjoy books.
SHARE a Book volunteers also work with individual children
to enable them to become more confident readers. Studies
show that canine companions can help struggling children
improve reading skills. Kids who can read- come read to
a therapy dog!
