American Small Businesses Association (ASBA)
The goal of this organization is to provide resources to promote and preserve small businesses.

National Association for the Self Employed (NASE)
This organization provides support for small businesses (ten employees and under) in the form of benefit and buying consortiums, representation of small business interests with legislators, and tools and resources to enable small businesses to compete effectively with larger businesses.

National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)
The organization represents the business interests of women nationwide by effecting change in business culture, providing networking opportunities, and strengthening economic development.

Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE): Counselors to America's Small Business
A nonprofit organization with chapters all over the country, SCORE offers free advice to entrepreneurs in all areas of business. Counseling and workshops are offered through the San Francisco and Bay Area chapters in Novato and San Rafael. Good organization for finding a business mentor.

Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce
Officers, membership information, and a directory of local businesses. The Chamber's Web site also maintains a Press Room, featuring links to recent media coverage of Tiburon.
